Brian Lahiff

Brian Lahiff is an accomplished Chartered Engineer and Fellow Professional Consulting Engineer with more than 18 years of experience in planning, designing, managing, coordinating, and supervising construction projects. He has an extensive track record of working on a range of project types and sizes, with a particular specialization in the delivery of phased projects in challenging healthcare environments. Brian's expertise has taken him across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

In 2008, Brian completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Health and Safety in Construction from Trinity College Dublin, which has equipped him with comprehensive knowledge of current Health and Safety Legislation, including the latest Safety Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations. He has served as a project supervisor design process (PSDP) on numerous healthcare, residential, industrial, and educational projects of varying sizes and complexities. 

Brian is also a founding member and chairperson of the Irish Safety at Height Association (www.safetyatheight.ie), where he has demonstrated his commitment to promoting safety standards in the construction industry. He co-authored the Construction Safety Partnership's (CSP) document "Client Assessment Requirements to make Particular Safety & Health Appointments."

Brian completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from Trinity College Dublin in 2010, adding to his already extensive skill set. He was the conveyor of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI) BIM Committee between 2015 and 2022 and is still an active member of the committee. Brian has represented the ACEI on numerous cross-industry BIM initiatives, such as the CIC and CitA BIM groups. He has also lectured extensively on the subject and co-authored and presented a paper at the 2019 CitA BIM Gathering.
