SAFETY & HEALTH REPRESENTATIVE (Client Facing) – DUBLIN – 4 or 5 days a week

We have an opportunity to place an experienced client facing Safety Representative on a prestigious data centre site in Dublin.

Description and Details:
The successful candidate will be a motivated professional who will ensure the companies roles on project are discharged and develop a positive and active safety culture on their projects. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of Safety and Health Legislation and extensive experience on a range of complex projects.

This position is site based for four days a week (30 hours). This can be increased to five days a week (37.5 hours) if desired by the candidate.

The main duties will consist of:
• Onsite safety representative to act on behalf of the Client
• Monitor daily activities onsite and revert back to the main contractor in real time with observations of any unsafe conditions that need to be addressed immediately.
• Liaise with main contractor, Client, PSDP and PSCS on all H&S matters.
• Daily reports to be updated whilst onsite
    o Daily Headcount
    o Summary of high-risk activities per areas of the site
• Attending construction planning / site safety meetings
• Preparing health and safety reports
• Coordination and liaison with all parties involved in the construction project
• Reviewing the competence of sub-contractors

• Education Requirement: Degree in Engineering or a related design discipline with recognized Safety and Health training (ideally post graduate Diploma level, but not essential)
• Experience Required: Experienced is successful delivery of complex multi-disciplinary construction projects
• Desirable: Chartered Member of Engineers Ireland, IOSH or similar
• Desirable: PSCS training and experience
