We wish to appoint a Technician based in our Limerick office to detail a wide selection of projects in Ireland and overseas.
Description and Details:
The work will be primarily office based, with some site inspection work as required. Working with a project team you will assist in the preparation of high-quality engineering design drawings for a broad range of structural engineering projects. You will assist in the preparation of planning, tender and construction documents. All work will be carried out in accordance with the company ISO 9001 and ISO 19650 procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Working with a team of engineers and technicians in the delivery of projects for the organisation
• Develop 2D and 3D structural and ground/drainage models and produce necessary drawings using Autodesk Revit and other tools as necessary.
• Working to deadlines whilst producing the highest quality of work
• Co-ordinate accurately with all other disciplines, attending clash avoidance meetings and BIM coordination meetings.
• Manage and control flow of design information for specific projects into and out of the company using CDE’s and in accordance with ISO 19650 standards and in accordance with the project requirements such as BIM Execution Plans
• Keep up to date with the latest software tools and processes.
Candidate Requirements:
• A Higher Certificate (NFQ Level 6) in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.
• Applicants must have a minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in a design office assisting in the preparation of drawings for outline and detailed designs for structural engineering projects.
• Draughting experience on building projects using concrete, steel, timber and masonry.
• A good working knowledge of engineering draughting tools including REVIT and AutoCAD is essential.
• A proactive approach to solving problems with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.
