Client Assessment Document Updated for New Construction Regulations

Garland were lead authors for the Construction Safety Partnership’s publication “Client Assessment Requirements to make Particular Safety & Health Appointments” for the Construction Regulations.  The document has been revised to the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 which were introduced on 1st August 2013.

Client Duties Construction Regulations Checklist

The purpose of this document is to allow any individual to assess whether they are carrying out, or arranging to carry out construction work and then whether they have a requirement to appoint a Project Supervisor Design Process (at or before the commencement of design) and a Project Supervisor Construction Stage (before the commencement of construction work) under the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 and or the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005.

It is advisable to complete this document for every individual project that may require such statutory appointments. This document provides evidence that Statutory Duties were considered.
