Garland CEO elected to EFCA Board

Kevin Rudden, CEO of GARLAND and Vice President of the ACEI (The Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland), has been elected to the board of directors of EFCA, European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations at the EFCA General Assembaly Meeting held in Warsaw in May 2014.
The European Federation of Engineering Consultancy Associations (EFCA) has member associations in 24 countries, and is the sole European federation representing the engineering and related services industry, which employs one million staff, the majority of whom are highly skilled in a breadth of disciplines. Engineering consultancies provide €150 billion engineering consulting services per year for about €1,300 billion investments in buildings, infrastructure and industrial complexes. EFCA represents 24 professional associations from 24 European countries represents FIDIC in Europe The European engineering consultancy industry employs about 1 million staff generates more than EUR 150 billion annual turnover. Its mission is to promote the European consulting industry in Europe and internationally and to represent it to European institutions. EFCA aspires to positively influence EU legislation that impacts on engineering consultancy promotes fair competition and transparent procurement rules is a network/business platform for member associations and European firms.
Kevin Rudden has previously represented the European Federation of Consulting Engineers Associations on the European Construction Safety Forum. Kevin was an Executive Member of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland from 2004 to 2011 and served as Treasurer from 2006 to 2008 and Honorary Secretary from 2008 to 2010. He is currently The Convener of the Joint Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland/Institution of Engineers of Ireland, Health & Safety Committee. He also represents the ACEI at the Construction Safety Partnership (CSP), Construction Advisory Committee (CAC) and Joint Safety Advisory Panel (JSAP).
