Noel Kane on Concrete Blocks Expert Panel

Noel Kane, GARLAND Chairman, has been appointed to the DECLG Expert Panel on Concrete Blocks. Noel's extensive knowledge of concrete has led him to oversee the design and construction of several large-scale projects for a variety of international clients. In Ireland, his experience is best represented as a project director in charge of numerous large and medium size hospital and industrial projects. In recent years he has specialized in the technical evaluation and management of significant property portfolios on behalf of pension funds and financial institutions.

Noel is regarded within the industry as a leading authority in his field and especially reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and masonry design. He is an existing member of NSAI's Concrete and Eurocodes Consultative Committees, and he is acting Chairman of NSAI's Masonry Panel and Eurocodes Masonry Subcommittee. Noel is a past president of the Association of the Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI).

Noel will officially start participating in the DECLG Expert Panel on Concrete Blocks later this month.
