Planning Granted for Extension to The Savoy, Limerick

GARLAND are very proud to be acting as Civil and Structural engineers with Healy Partners Architects on the extension to The Savoy, a luxury hotel within Limerick’s City Centre.  The development includes the renovation, conversion and extension of the adjacent 6-storey Mill building. The project involves a new metal and glass vertical extension (‘roof box’) extending 4 stories above the existing Mill to accommodate 20 new hotel bedrooms.  The project creates a new entrance to the Savoy Hotel on Shannon Street as well as new connections between The Savoy and the Mill building. Overall, the development will result in an additional 35 bedrooms for The Savoy Hotel.  A planning application was granted in October 2017.
