Sod turned on St. Patrick's Special School in Enniscorthy

Dec 03, 2018

Spirits were high among staff, parents and students of St. Patrick's Special School in Enniscorthy as the sod was turned on the 3rd of November, signifying the beginning of construction following a long and onerous process.

Sod Turning St Patricks School

This specialised school for autistic children that is to consist of 20 new classrooms was initially proposed over 18 years ago, with an official start date due nearly 3 years ago. At their wits end, Principal Lee Rogers and his colleagues began to speak out publically. They sought public support but erecting a sign at the gate of the school that counted each day since the project was supposed to have started. On the 3rd of November this sign read 983 days.

Garland who are delighted to be providing Civil & Structural Engineering Services and Assigned Certifier Services on this project would like to commend Principal Lee Rogers and colleagues on their determination. We are looking forward to working with the staff of St. Patricks along with Mythen Construction to deliver this school to staff, parents and students.
