Safe pass equivalent schemes recognized in construction regulation amendment

On the 2nd April 2019, Minister Pat Breen signed the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 (S.I. No. 129 of 2019) which comes into effect immediately.

These regulations formally recognise the name change from "Fás" to "Solas". The regulations also empower Solas to recognise "Safety Awareness Registration Cards" or "Construction Skills Registation Cards" from  Member States and Non Member States of the European Union as equivalent to "Safe Pass" or "CSCS Cards".
