Peter Power appointed Chairman of Engineers Ireland Thomond region

Garland’s Peter Power was elected Chairman of the Engineers Ireland Thomond branch. The region, which covers Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary is known for its focus on science and technology.

Peter has served on the Thomond Region Committee since May 2015, and has been actively involved in encouraging young Engineers to join and take part in Engineers Ireland. In May 2017, at the branch AGM Peter was appointed Secretary of the branch.

Two years later, in May 2019 Peter was elected Chairman of Engineers Ireland. In keeping with his previous commitment to increase the engagement of young engineers, Peter announced his goal as Chair to establish a Thomond Region YES (Young Engineer Society).
