GARLAND Expands its Management Team

We are pleased to announce the appointment of new Directors and Associates to our management team, reflecting the company's commitment to growth and excellence in construction professional services. Simon Dunne and Tommy Morey have been appointed Directors of the company while Ciarán Cadogan and Chris Stafford have been appointed as Associates.
Speaking at the announcement, GARLAND CEO Kevin Rudden said, " These appointments are not just a testament to individual excellence, but a reflection of our collective commitment to innovation, integrity, and growth. Together, we will continue to push boundaries, inspire change, and realise the concepts that we create. Congratulations to our new leaders – we are excited to see the remarkable impact you will make."

New Directors:
- Simon Dunne: Simon is a Chartered Structural Engineer with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and Engineers Ireland. Simon is the immediate past Chairperson of the IStructE Republic of Ireland Regional Hub for the 2023/2024 term. Currently Simon serves on the IStructE Professional Conduct Committee and Disciplinary Panel as well as the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) Eurocode 6 Masonry committee. Simon has been responsible for the design and delivery of thousands of residential units over the past number of years as well as a vast selection of industrial, commercial, educational and healthcare projects around the country and within the UK. He also has extensive experience as an Assigned Certifier on notable projects such as the DART+ electrification and Bus Eireann / Dublin Bus electrification projects as well as the 3D printed houses project in Dundalk, the first of its kind in the world.
- Tommy Morey: Tommy is also a Chartered Structural Engineer with the Institution of Structural Engineers and Engineers Ireland. He serves on the Association of Engineers Ireland (ACEI) Structural Committee having previously served on the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee. Based in Limerick, Tommy joined GARLAND in 2006 and has contributed significantly to GARLAND's growth in the Mid-West Region. Tommy specialises in the design and delivery of a vast array of industrial, healthcare, educational and institutional buildings. Tommy has recently completed the civil and structural design of the multi award winning 1BQ development which has transformed Bishops Quay in Limerick having previously been involved in major developments within University Hospital Limerick, and University of Limerick. Tommy’s knowledge of pyrite and mica issues with concrete blocks means he is an expert listed on Engineer’s Ireland IS 465 (Concrete Blocks and Mica) Register
New Associates:
- Ciarán Cadogan: Ciarán is a Senior Engineer based in Limerick. He has been with GARLAND since 2018, leading project teams specialising in the delivery of high-quality residential projects around the country. Ciarán is currently acting as a client Technical Advisor and Project Supervisor Design Process for the significant Opera Square development within Limerick comprising a mix of new structures and 16 preserved heritage buildings, set around a large, pedestrianized square in the Georgian heart of Limerick. Ciarán has an interest and passion in the delivery of sustainable design.
- Chris Stafford: Chris is a key member of the GARLAND team in Waterford. A Chartered Engineer, he joined GARLAND in 2022 and has brought a wealth of experience in the sustainable energy, water and wastewater sectors. He leads the Civil Engineering team in Waterford, specialising in the design and delivery of infrastructure for a vast range of industrial, residential and healthcare facilities around the country.
