PayPal Inc. is a global e-commerce business which facilitates worldwide payments and money transfers through the Internet. Founded in 1998 in Palo Alto, California, USA, PayPal have grown to become a global leader in online payment solutions with 123 million customers in 103 markets worldwide. On October 3rd, 2002, PayPal became a wholly owned subsidiary of eBay.
The Xerox Technology Park, Dundalk is a purpose built technology park located approximately 1km from the M1 motorway and accessed via the N52 and R132, Old Dublin Road. Garland assisted in the conversion of one of the existing industrial buildings, Building ‘A’, into a centre that meets all of the operational requirements of a global leading company. This centre provides customer support for PayPal’s clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The converted building contains some 13,500 m2 and has been converted from an electronics production building and warehouse to a customer support centre for 1,200 staff including a 200 seat full production restaurant.
The conversion is being carried out in 7 separate phases to mirror the client’s growing demand.
