This project involved a full refurbishment and fitout of an existing nightclub / arcade at The Wright Venue, Airside Retail Park, to Riot Games requirements. Riot Games, is a global video game developer, publisher and esports tournament organiser headquartered in Los Angeles, California and with it's EMEA HQ located in Dublin since 2010. The venue now comprises of production and audio rooms, live stages and a bullpen allowing it to broadcast 6 simultaneous e-sports events at any one time.

GARLAND provided full Civil & Structural Engineering services for this project with an overall value of €18.5 million, including the initial Feasibility Study, planning application and construction monitoring.

Works included filling in staircase openings and a portion of the centre atrium to create new office and break out spaces, support for folding partition walls, form new openings to open up the internal space and form a plant enclosure on the roof.

Additional plant was installed at ground floor and roof levels where the existing structure had to be evaluated for the new applied loads. The existing building was formed on pile foundations, with reinforced concrete slab and frame along with concrete and steel lift cores.
