Project Description

Tallaght Hospital is the amalgamation of the Meath Hospital, Adelaide and the National Children’s Hospital to form AMNCH. Built on a Green Field 35 acre Site the total area of the original buildings was 57,000m2. The hospital opened in 1998 and has 640 public beds, 2000 staff, 12 operating theatres and a full range of clinical services spread over 32 integrated departments.
Since the hospital opened several other projects have been completed on the site, they include:

  • OPD Extension
  • 500 Space Multi-storey Car Park (Design & Build)
  • Trinity Medical School Phase 1 (Planning Permission Granted for Phase 2)
  • 89 Bed Private Ward Block
  • 39 Bed Discharge Unit
  • Ascetic Pharmacy Extension
  • CAT 3 Laboratory
  • Reinstatement of the Fire Damaged Catering Department
  • Refurbishment & Extension to Emergency Department
  • Increasing the Hospital's ICU capacity by 6 beds
  • Health and Safety Control for the Technical Services Department
