Project Description

Built as a maintenance facility for servicing the UPS fleet, this hangar was designed to accommodate aircraft up to B747- 400 size or numerous arrangements of other aircraft. The hangar floor, superstructure and apron area to the front of the hangar are supported on piles. The hangar incorporates vertical lift fabric doors with the central panel giving a clear height of 21m to accommodate the tail of the aircraft. The project also included the master planning of the site for the 3 No. further hangars.
